Statement

The work i have submitted i usually base it on things that i have something to do with or i am fond of for example i have produced artwork which includes pieces of work using my favourite rap group by using there logo's or even making photo montages of them. I have produced illustrations of things to do with me like what i have found in my pocket and its use, because i think if there is a piece of art it should have something to do with the artist themselves. I think a good piece of art in some sort of way either expresses how the artist is feeling or even describes who they could be as a person because after all art is a form of expression. I am very fond of art and graphics because by using art i am able to get my message across, if i have opinions and views about something i am the type of person who doesn't care what people think about me and my views. As long as i get to have a say in a debate and get my message across to other people to express how i feel makes me feel like I've let some stress out so i think using art can also be used as a good way of releasing stress because your able to open your mind and express you idea's and opinions. I have applied for this course because want to take my work to a whole new level expressing myself and my views and opinions, i think this course would benefit me well because using graphics especially typography because typography is one of the most popular ways of making people notice messages for example a newspaper headline are usually printed in large bold lettering so the readers attention is drawn in because usually the bigger the font the more important the story is.
